[frequency]  RF For Masseter Muscle
name C** date 2018-03-25 views 5960

Hi,

I am considering doing RF to reduce my master muscle as I do not like the frequency of Botox injections.

1. However I also understand that the effect of RF on masseter is only semi permanent. Can you explain why the effect is only semi permanent when the cells actually die in the process.

2. If semi permanent, how long before the procedure needs to be repeated?

3. How many years has this procedure been done at KSamsung? What is the track record? Have any patients develop complications from undergoing RF for masseter?

4. What is the risk of complications from this procedure?

5. Will Dr Park Young Jin do the procedure personally, if requested?

6. What is the estimated range of cost for procedure?

Hello, this is Gangnam Samsung Aesthetic Clinic.

Thank you for your question.

In the radiofrequency mandibular angle surgery,
the ions in human cells are activated to generate frictional heat when a certain high-frequency current flows through the cells.
When the frictional heat is produced, special radiofrequency needles are inserted into masseter muscle and the inserted needles work to reduce projecting parts selectively.
The method has been widely used to treat patients with abnormal electrocardiogram or operate on dyspnea patients or snorers.
This safe and non-invasive way procedure is semi-permanent in its effect and patients can return to their daily life within ten 10 minutes after surgery.
